Founded in 1977, Barby Sporting was grown from the passions of David Morgan and Gordan Coates, two enthusiastic sportsman whose vision was to build a top-class shooting facility that caters for all.
Successful in their mission, the duo drastically developed the ground over the years, turning what was once a few green fields into the fully bunded and bespoke multi-discipline shooting facility that Barby Sporting is today.
After more than 40 thriving years of ownership, in 2019, Barby Sporting and its shops, Northampton Gun and Rugby Gun were acquired by Northampton-based country sports outfitter, Cadman Sporting, a business that shares in the founders’ passions to provide sporting facilities for shooters of all ages and abilities.
With a view to continuing the work of its founders, we at Cadman Sporting aim to enhance the shooting ground facilities and provide a one stop shop for all your sports shooting needs. From equipment and attire, to tuition and a great place to practise – it's our aim to provide safe, enjoyable and fun shooting for all.
We look forward to your continued support for the exciting times ahead.
